Cedar City Temple Signed Over to Owners

Today at 10:00 am, Zwick Construction delivered and signed-over the Cedar City Utah Temple to the owners’ representatives. For the next four weeks, they’ll oversee the final touches to furnishings and prepare for the public open house from October 27 – November 18, 2017.

President Monson will not attend October general conference, LDS Church confirms

Scott G Winterton, Deseret News SALT LAKE CITY – LDS Church President Thomas S. Monson will not attend this weekend’s sessions of general conference, the church confirmed Thursday afternoon. The 90-year-old President Monson, who has served as the president and prophet of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints since Feb.

Thomas Spencer Monson was born August 21, 1927 (90 years old) in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was ordained an LDS apostle at age 36. He was awarded the Boy Scouts of America’s Silver Buffalo. He is the second of six children. He dedicated fourteen temples.

Church Apostle Robert D. Hales Admitted to the Hospital

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints released the following statement on the condition of Elder Robert D. Hales of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles: Elder Robert D. Hales was admitted to the hospital several days ago for treatment of pulmonary and other conditions.

Elder Hales was born August 24, 1932 (85 years old). Currently, he is the fifth most senior apostle in the church. He was was born in New York City. He received degrees from the University of Utah and Harvard Business School and was a pilot in the U.S. Air Force.

Institute Opening Social

The Institute Opening Social will be Friday, September 22, 2017 from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm.

There will be pickle ball, a photo booth, ping pong, carnival games, food and a dance.

All young adults ages 18-29 are invited.
