The Canyon View High School (CVHS) Lady Falcons took down the #1 ranked Desert Hills Lady Thunder Wednesday evening in Cedar City with a score of 52-50.
Canyon View went to a 2-3 zone on defense and it caused problems for the Thunder all night. On the offensive side Canyon View shot lights out, hitting critical 3 pointers, free-throws and layups. Deirdre Barton hit the go ahead layup for CV and Desert Hills was unable to tie the game with an in-bounds play from half-court with just over one second left. That is two losses in a row for the #1 ranked DHHS girls.
